so anyway i was watching the news, and one perticular lady, (anonym.) told the story of how she joined the armed forces, soared through the rankings became promoted and served this country in many many ways.... later after retirement, it was later revealed that she was gay..... the army was upset that they let a gay female proceed that high in their rankings.....
i dont understand why gay people arent allowed to serve in the armed forces..... it doesnt make a difference....
when questioned a general stated as the reasons for the ban of gays "well becuase there may be a situation where the soldiers might have to huddle together on a cold night, and that wouldnt be good if one was gay."
uhh... excuse me? my point being.. no actual answer.....

BAND OF THE DAY: dire straits.... a little old school but defenatly worth a listen, i really like them
and on to some bad opinion sharing ....
the radio playes the worst music in existience... i mean soulja boy? c'mon people! that just sucks....
but anyway this was brought to my attention because someone made the statement that the beatles sucked.... i am all for the acceptience of other people's opinions...but this?
this statement came from a white person who only listens to rap... i was upset to hear this comment, but even upset to hear later in the day the same kid raving about lil wayne's song writing skills.... he was talking about how he is so deep and understanding....get a fucking grip dude.....
he has probably never heard any of the beatles stuff besides let it be and come together and the other famous songs....but dont underestimate the beatles song writing skills and poetry.....
i was appaled...
sorry for ranting again!! hehe

i feel really bad about how i havent posted in years but i have been buisy
BAND OF THE DAY: paulo coelho..... he actually is an author.....
i am reading the book: the alchemist by the above mentioned author, and i have never read a more thought provoking book in my life..... and i read a lot... like a lot!
but i can never talk about books that i read with people because i find myself reading books that nobody has read or heard of.....someone will ask me what book i am reading and when i tell them the answer, i hear a dissapionted "oh" because the book is unfamiliar to them
which is an awful segway into my next point...... how people are afraid of anything unfamiliar to them....
older people are very afraid to try new things..... not to be stereotypical, but most of the ones i have met are.....
and to prove what an awful and discombobulated blog this is i will end right here because i lost my train of thought because i just returned from a distraction....sorry
but i will leave u with an essay i wrote about my view of the devine:
here goes
God is an idea, he only exists as a thought, an intangible being and a state of mind that assists those who are open to it. The tangibility of God resembles a solar black hole, not in the purpose of the black hole – destroying matter – but in the idea of one. The sun, as with all the stars in the Milky Way galaxy, is thought to be orbiting a black hole because black holes are so dense, even though they are miniscule, almost nothing in size, and are only discussed in theory. God, in the same way creates an orbital attraction. Much like black holes, God only exists as an idea and is only discussed in theory. A black hole is an intangible force that underlines all matter, and it has the most gravitational pull of anything known to man. God underlines all believers’ emotions, and the belief in God indirectly dictates all human’s actions.
Matter that is sucked into a black hole is distorted and loses all idea of time and it is believed to enter infinity. Much like a black hole, the idea of a God distorts humans in both a good way and a bad way. For example, violence in the Middle East is a result from the idea of a God and the promises that were made far in the past, or the instinctual idea that humans have of right and wrong. God does not have control of all creation, but that illusion is created upon having something to blame when the unexpected happens, or something to praise when good happens. If anything, God is the idea and human manifestation of all that is good in this world.

BAND OF THE DAY: zap mama
another poem
FIRE
The last thing I remember before
I surrendered into the flames
Was a woman’s scream
A lost child’s cry
Somewhere on the second floor
Shouting voices
Commanding.
IM IN HERE
I wanted to say.
To scream.
To even breathe.
But no
As the embers cool around my body
Nobody asked
Nobody wondered why
Me, stuck on the third floor didn’t try to escape……..

ok BAND OF THE DAY: ani difranco.... if you are a lady who was just dumped or something listen to this chick who will surley convince you that guys dont matter.....
if you are a guy listen to this chick for the awsome paino acou. guitar and vocals....
as promised another writing:
O LIVING FLAME OF LOVE:
O living flame of love
How soft you burn upon my heart
How knowingly you burn above
The wise one’s heads as if a work of art
Therefore I know you and I are never apart
O bird so sweet and bright
Fill the air with your beautiful song
Drop the olive ending the flooding nights
After all the water gone
And admit that you were wrong
O colors so sweet and glow
Marking the end of abomination
Marking it with your sorrow
Upon a freshly watered nation
Swearing again never to destroy creation
see you tomorrow... p.s. thanks natasha
