BAND OF THE DAY: DANA FALCONBERRY
well its pretty hard to update people on things that happen that are interesting daily.... so i guess i will include another written piece
its called PRESIDENTIAL BULLITEN
Hunched over like a turtle
Pressing hard against our nation
Blissful ignorance allowed their entrance
To our aggravation
We know not where they’re from
“Some far and distant land?
How do we protect ourselves?”
The Americans demand
The president unable
To ever comprehend
Asked his number two
“How shall we defend?
Against our new contender
To the human race
They slipped straight behind my back
But at a slow enough pace
But all the earth was calling
The mess to my attention
So that I could stop them
And issue my prevention!”
And his number two responded
As clever as he could:
“Just pretend they aren’t there
That usually yields good”
The president shook his head
And looked down at the floor
“I’ve done that for a while now
I can’t pull that one off no more
People need some answers
To this scientific jam
I can’t fudge it anymore
Or we’ll face a presidential sham
I have a solution
I’ll make a speech on the T.V.
And talk about our problem here
And our adversity”
So it was as it was said
His speech writer started then
And his publicity advisor
Booked a time on CNN
HE SAID:
“So listen folks, here’s the scoop:
If what you say is true
The world will die in 30 years
And I’ll go down with you
So I do see our danger
So put your signs away
Stop the protesting, go back home
I have a response today
So here’s my solution
What I think is right
We move ourselves out to the moon
The sun will still reach there with light”
And with that response
Outrage sprang through the nation
Every corner of the world was mad
What a misuse of creation!
The civilians complained:
“We want our earth and star
To be used to full effect
Now really, is that hard?”
So impeachment followed our president
He was alone until the end
So the moral here is when you have a problem
Be early to defend!
well i guess i will talk to you tomorrow
